Terms of our Financial Policy
Thank you for choosing Bristol Street Pediatrics as your children’s health care provider. Our physicians are committed to providing the highest quality of care for your child in a caring and compassionate manner.
For those “paperwork” issues, insurance, billing, and scheduling, we have an experienced staff to help you, most of whom have been here for over 10 years.
The policy that follows will answer most of your questions about how we handle financial matters, but please feel free to call our Financial Counselors at Extension 201 if something is not clear to you.
As a part of our service, we try to contain the ever-rising cost of health care. In an effort to do so, we now offer “paperless” billing through “Easy Pay”.
When you come for your first visit, our Financial Consultant will spend a few minutes with you explaining policies and obtaining your insurance information. If you have your policy at home, please bring is so that we can review your coverage.
WHAT IS “EASY PAY”?
Easy Pay allows “paperless billing”. We simply maintain your credit, debit or check card number on file in a secure location and use it to satisfy all co-pays, deductibles, and balances not covered by your insurance. We allow 45 days for your insurance to pay us, without sending a statement. When a payment is made, we put the balance on your credit card. Our Patient Finance Counselors will be more than happy to give you more information about Easy Pay. We accept ALL major credit cards, debit cards, check cards, and cash. The confidentiality of your credit card information is guaranteed. |
HOW WE HANDLE PAYMENT FOLLOWING YOUR VISIT:
We offer 3 methods of payment:
- Case or check at the time of service with a 15% discount. Credit card at the time of service with a 12% discount. (We CANNOT bill insurance if you choose this option)
- Billing of your insurance, Easy Pay for the balance.
45 days will be allowed for their payment, or yours (If you know it is not covered).
You will NOT receive a statement during this 45 days unless a payment has been made.
“Easy Pay” will be proceeded to pay the balance after your insurance has paid all that they intend to pay.
We will send you a copy of the credit card slip when it is processed.
- Billing of your insurance, No Easy Pay.
45 days will be allowed for their payment, or yours. You will NOT receive a statement during this 45 days unless a payment has been made.
At 55 days, if your insurance HAS paid and the balance is yours, you will be assessed a $3 service charge, billable every month until the account is paid in full.
